ORIGINAL ARTWORK ‍

Rock Gods was created in 2002 and published over a 5 year period as a poster, available internationally and in UK music retailers such as HMV. During this time I also illustrated within the pages of UK Rock Zine - Metal Hammer.

Various medium were used for this piece, that included: Sienna drawing pens, Burnt Umber/Sienna inks and acrylic paints. The surface has a textured feel, from torn off pieces of masking tape and scalpel cuts. As a fan of 80’s horror movies, adding an element of DIY surgery felt like the perfect complement. This piece has a total of 22 rock legends from Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy and Jimmy Page to Kurt Cobain, Billy Joe Armstrong and Henry Rollins.
